After attending the Best made Co. Axe Sharpening Workshop I set out to restore my own. I found an old roofing hatchet for $12 in Scott’s Corner, NY. After 2 days in a vinegar bath, the head was looking pretty good. I ordered a hickory handle from and began the fitting processes.
