Dorset Marble Quarry Cliff Diving

Just down the road from the Barrows house is The Dorset Marble Quarry. First mined in 1785, the stone from the country’s oldest commercial marble quarry went to build the main branch of the New York Public Library and Montreal Museum of Fine Arts. Now all the remains is a massive marble swimming hole. The water was a refreshing 60 degrees, perfect temperature to calm nerves before i took the plunge into marriage and ideal for curing the next days hang over.
