Manchester VT

The Equinox Preserve covers 914 acres of forest lands on the eastern slopes of Mount
Equinox in Manchester, Vermont. It is open to the public for year-round, non-motorized
recreation. Over 11 miles of marked and maintained trails provide access to these unique mountainous woodlands.

The hike to the peak og Mt. Equinox is 3.1 miles up covering 3,000 ft of vertical gain.

Green Mountains & Long Trail(s)…

Pico mountain summit. Tallest New England peak thus far. Just under 4,000ft. Left at 10:30am reached the summit at 12:45PM after 3.1 miles UP. The view was worth it and home made sandwiches were the reward…as was a riverside Cranberry Gose at Long Trail after we made it down. 

Tomorrow is flyfishing in the morning and ‘Hops in the Hills’ beer festival in the afternoon. We earned it!
